Cougars looking beyond one and done

The last three seasons, Luke Mollis has guided Charleroi to the WPIAL baseball playoffs.

But, all three seasons, the Cougars went one game and out.

Entering his sixth season at his alma mater, Mollis is driven to get his team not only into the playoffs, but past that one game barrier.

“I don’t know what it is, but for some reason at that time of the year we seem to peter out,” Mollis said. “This year, we have a veteran team. The guys know what’s expected and hopefully we can push past where we ended up the last three seasons.
