Election 2019: Large slate of candidates in Washington County

As the May 21 primary draws near, the Mon Valley Independent will let voters know who is running for county and local races.
In the race for Washington County Commissioner, there are six candidates for three, four-year terms, including incumbents Larry Maggi and Harlan Shober, both Democrats, and Republican Diana Irey Vaughan.
Newcomers are Democrat Bobby Dellorso and Republicans Nick Sherman and Jason White.
County coroner S. Timothy Warco is running for re-election and is unopposed. In the race for clerk of courts, incumbent Democrat Frank Scandale is running against Republican Brenda Davis.
