Newly formed COG holds 2nd informational meeting

The Mid Mon Valley Council of Governments is one meeting closer to being officially up and running.
The Mon Valley Alliance announced it would be revitalizing the Mid Mon Valley Council of Governments last year, and the group met informally for the first time in January.
Only five municipalities — Monongahela, Donora, Charleroi, Brownsville Township and Dunlevy — were represented at the first meeting.
The organization’s second informal meeting, held Wednesday in the Community Room at Charleroi Area High School, drew a smaller crowd with representatives from Monongahela, Brownsville Township and Donora attending.
