Strikeouts pile up in Tigers’ loss to Carrick

Ron Bishop has seen it consistently over his now six seasons as McKeesport’s coach.
Whether the result is a loss, a win, or just a close loss, the difference often has been in his team’s approach at the plate.
When things have gone well, McKeesport tends to be patient, but decisive in the right moments. When things fall to shreds, the Tigers go in undisciplined, striking out often and doing so on not many pitches.
Wednesday’s game, to Bishop’s chagrin, fell into the latter category.
Coming off a win on Tuesday against South Allegheny, McKeesport came up way short against Carrick, falling 6-1 in nonsection play.
