A raffle ticket led police to the Donora man accused of stabbing three people at a North Belle Vernon bar.
Eric Demont Cook, 43, of Market Street was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts each of criminal attempt – criminal homicide and criminal attempt – simple assault, and six counts of aggravated assault for his role in the March 7 incident at Just A Tavern on Broad Avenue.
Cook was arraigned at the Greensburg office of Magisterial District Judge Chris Flanigan at 5 p.m. Wednesday. He was denied bail, with Flanigan calling him “a danger to the community.”
North Belle Vernon police Chief Eugene Lipari said Cook refused to go to the police station for an interview earlier this week.
