Warriors shut out by Vikings, 4-0

Elizabeth Forward suffered a 4-0 loss to Mt. Pleasant in nonsection play Thursday afternoon.
The Vikings (2-0) finished with 10 hits and were led by two-hit efforts from Haylie Brunson, May Smithrosky and Courtney Poulich. Brunson and Autumn Shogun each hit solo home runs in the win.
Elizabeth Forward (1-4) was limited to three hits in the loss as Mt. Pleasant ace Carolyn Alincic struck out 13. Bri Sersevic had a double for EF’s lone extra base hit.
Kailey Larcinese took the loss after allowing four runs (three earned) on 10 hits while striking out 11. The Warriors committed four errors behind her.
