The 78th annual Mon Valley Home Show opens Friday at Rostraver Ice Garden in Rostraver Township.
The show is designed for homeowners in all stages of remodeling, landscaping and decorating.
A variety of products and services will be displayed, including windows, doors, fencing, siding, decks, pools, gardening tools and accessories, sun rooms, patio enclosures, kitchens and bathrooms.
Home show visitors will be able to compare prices, meet contractors before hiring them and see products firsthand instead of in a catalog or online.
Organized by Vice President Larry Parsons II and John Lunt of Equipment Connection and Party Rental Co., in partnership with Rostraver Ice Garden owner Jim “Murph” Murphy, this year’s show will feature more than 150 vendors. More than 10,000 visitors attend annually.
“There’s a wide variety of new vendors and still the old staples,” Parsons said. “Every year, we see about a 30 percent decline in old vendors and a 30 percent increase in new vendors, so it balances out.”
