W. Newton man accused of sex assault

A 32-year-old West Newton man accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl was jailed on $200,000 cash bond Wednesday.

David L. Hresko of Greensburg Pike was arraigned Wednesday in front of Magisterial District Judge Charles Christner in Rostraver Township on charges of two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.

State police said the investigation began in January after receiving a report of allegations of unlawful sexual contact.

The Mon Valley Independent does not identify victims of sexual assault.
