The offense continues to click for the Elizabeth Forward baseball team.
After using eight runs to down Uniontown in their last game, the Warriors belted 18 hits in a convincing 18-7 victory over McKeesport at Helen Richey Field Tuesday afternoon.
“So far this year the bats have been there for us and we’re hitting the ball fairly well,” Elizabeth Forward head coach Frank Champ said. “We’re going to rely on our offense a lot this year.”
Patrick Minda helped lead the way for EF (5-2, 2-1) as he went 4 for 5 with a walk, a pair of runs scored and 4 RBIs. He was one of six players to finish with multi-hit games for the Warriors. Nate Cole, Nate Homa and JC Schmidt each had three while Evan Lewis and Chase Vaughn had two. Vaughn and Cole each drove in three runs.
