Pat Brennan admits he and his Serra Catholic teammates got frustrated at the plate against Riverview on Tuesday.
During the first four innings, Serra Catholic scored just one run, striking a number of balls well, but failing to see the results as Riverview played their outfielders deep.
Eventually the Eagles broke through, scoring nine runs in the final three innings to improve their record to 9-1 and 4-0 in section play with a 10-1 win.
“It was definitely frustrating because all of us were hitting well, hitting hard line drives, but they just weren’t falling,” said Brennan, who played third and pitched. “Whenever that happens, you’ve just got to trust your mechanics and keep on going.”
