A Washington Township man accused of breaking a dog’s leg and a police officer’s wrist was arrested Thursday.
Kenneth Warren Schultz, 26, of Lincoln Street was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals – causing serious bodily injury or death, aggravated assault, cruelty to animals, simple assault, resisting arrest or other law enforcement and harassment.
Washington Township police filed charges with Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic II in Star Junction after alleged victim Kayla Jean Paul told police Schultz injured her 4-month-old teacup chihuahua while she was at his home Wednesday morning.
The female dog, Marbles, urinated on the porch, allegedly causing Schultz to grab her by the back of the neck and throw her into the yard “in anger,” according to an affidavit of probable cause.
