The Lincoln Borough Police Department took delivery last week on an all-terrain side-by-side vehicle.
The 2019 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 will be used as a patrol and rescue vehicle through the borough’s Project PEARL (Patrol Effectively and Rescue Lives).
“The borough of Lincoln is made up of over five square miles of varied terrain,” police Chief Richard Bosco said. “A major part of the borough is approximately 2,500 wooded acres that are not readily accessible by conventional police and EMS vehicles.
“This realization, along with our primary responsibility of responding to citizen’s needs established the requirement for the proper response vehicle in our police department’s fleet.”
