Elsie Mae Mascara – Davie, Fla., formerly of Belle Vernon
Elsie Mae Mascara, 105, of Davie, Fla., formerly of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. A daughter of the late Philip Muir and Clara Strenske Hency Muir, she was born in Fairhope, Belle Vernon, on Dec. 5, 1912. Elsie was a golfer and was on a bowling team and duplicate bridge team. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William Philip Mascara and Victoria of Stockton, Calif.; a daughter, Beverly Jean Mascara of Davie, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Georgette Jean Signorello, Amy Jo Moyles, Kim Venneri, Tammy Barron, W. Michael Mascara, Matthew H. Mascara and Timothy J. Mascara; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Mascara, on Dec. 21, 1993; a brother, William; three sisters, Elizabeth, Hilda and Phyllis; and one great-grandson, Jeffrey Scott Lukas, on Jan. 7, 1967. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, in the First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fayette St., Belle Vernon.
