Mon Valley students will once again enter the arena as California University of Pennsylvania hosts the 14th annual BotsIQ Robotics Competition.
A gladiator-style robot competition for high school students, BotsIQ’s final rounds of this year’s competition will take place Friday and Saturday at Cal U’s Convocation Center.
Hundreds of students from 60 schools across southwestern Pennsylvania will compete after spending the past year building 15-pound robots.
BotsIQ communications and marketing specialist Ashley Kirsch said creating the robots allows students to learn in-demand technical and career-ready skills needed by various industries to fill current and future employment shortages.
