A month has passed since Elizabeth Township solicitor Matt Racunas gave the management company and corporate headquarters of Dollar General a strict deadline to begin construction of a retaining wall near the back side of its store located in the Boston section.
Racunas said Monday’s deadline fell on deaf ears and no progress has been made.
Therefore, during Monday’s board of commissioners meeting, the board authorized Racunas to work with code enforcement officer John Snelson to take any legal action the township is entitled to under the Subdivision and Land Development ordinance.
Racunas said he will meet with Snelson today and legal action could include citations, litigation and potentially filing to force compliance.
