Probation issued in Monessen shooting

Two Monessen men implicated in a nonfatal shooting will not receive jail time.
Joseph “JoJo” Heath III, 29, of Motheral Avenue and Rashawn Ford, 23, appeared Monday before Judge Christopher Feliciani in Westmoreland County Court.
Heath pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. Feliciani sentenced Heath to a maximum of five years on probation for his alleged role in the June 25, 2017, shooting of Timothy “Boo” Kershaw.
Heath had charges of criminal attempt – criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit criminal homicide, aggravated assault, robbery – threaten immediate serious injury, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, possession of an instrument of crime and disorderly conduct dismissed as part of the plea deal.
