Seven candidates competing for 3 seats in Donora

In Donora, seven people are fighting for three seats on borough council in the May primary.
Incumbent Democrats John Conger, Dennis Gutierrez and Gilbert Szakal Jr. will face Democrats Joe Greco, Edward Sonny Lawson, Donnie Pavelko and Charles “Snuffy” Smith.
There are no Republicans on the ballot, so barring any successful write-in campaign, the three Democrats who win their party’s nomination next week will likely be elected in the fall.
Conger, 72, is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He said he wants to serve the people of Donora and be a consistent, calm voice on council.
