Cougars falter in low-scoring affair

“I didn’t see it. I actually hid behind the dugout. I couldn’t look. I just couldn’t look.”
Thomas Jefferson head coach Heidi Karcher couldn’t bring herself to watch the final out but she couldn’t look away from the Jaguars celebrating their 1-0 victory over Yough, whose season came to a close in the WPIAL Class 4A softball quarterfinals at Peters Township High School Monday.
What Cougars’ head coach Dutch Harvey couldn’t bear to watch was a situation that allegedly brewed and lingered in the left-field bleachers.
“TJ’s crowd in the outfield yelled all game at our left fielder. Researched her. Yelled her home address and all kinds of things at her,” said Harvey.
