Humane society set to reopen today

The Washington Area Humane Society will re-open today after a precautionary quarantine was issued last week.
On May 17 the humane society announced the temporary closure after a dog tested positive for the parvovirus.
Parvovirus is a contagious viral illness that affects dogs, and it comes in two forms.
The more common form is intestinal and symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss and lack of appetite.
