Commodores overpowered for 2A crown

“Bigger, faster, stronger and overpowered.”
Those are the words Frazier softball coach Don Hartman used to sum up his team’s trip to the WPIAL Class 2A championship game Friday.
For the second straight season, the Commodores finished as the WPIAL runner-up after a 9-3 loss to Laurel at Trinity in a rematch of last season’s championship game.
While disappointed with their performance, and the loss, the mood was different than it was after last year’s 1-0 defeat at this point.
