Leadership shines for Warriors

Veteran leadership is critical for any high school team hoping to garner some hardware at the end of a long, grueling season.
It becomes even more vital for ones that start the amount of underclassmen that the Elizabeth Forward softball team does.
“I think it’s extremely important,” EF head coach Harry Rutherford said. “The underclassmen look up to (the veterans) for guidance and for encouragement to stay positive and to make sure they’re pumped up for the game.”
Rutherford regularly writes the names of two freshmen – Grace Smith and Brooke Markland – and four sophomores – Kailey Larcinese, Bri Sersevic, Anna Resnik and Mackenzie Kearns – into his starting lineup.
