As we watched players from Serra Catholic’s baseball team and Elizabeth Forward and Frazier’s softball programs take the field against uncommon foes in PIAA championship games at Penn State University less than two weeks ago, myself and sports editor Jeremy Sellew were reminded of something we already knew.
The Mon Valley baseball and softball scene is full of talent and potential.
Players like Serra Catholic’s Mark Black and Frazier’s Logan Hartman, juniors who earned MVI-Aul Bat Co. Player of the Year honors, are prime examples of the wealth of impressive athletes we get to cover every day on baseball and softball diamonds within our area.
With that being said, we are proud to present our Mon Valley Independent-BeeGraphix Dirty Dozen all-star baseball and softball teams.
The teams are made up of 12 first teamers along with the “Best of the Rest,” which consists of 24 players.
