A West Newton couple accused of breaking into a Sewickley Township beverage shop in April will stand trial in Westmoreland County Court.
Malcom J. Long, 24, and his girlfriend Ashley L. Biagini, 26, also of West Newton, each waived their rights to preliminary hearings this week before Magisterial District Judge Charles Christner in Rostraver Township.
Long, charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief, was picked up on an arrest warrant for burglary, theft, criminal trespass and criminal mischief filed by state police in connection with an April 18 break-in at Seifert Beverage on West Newton Road.
He was a former employee of the store, troopers said.
