An ever-expanding sinkhole in Rostraver Township has caused repeated problems for motorists and surrounding businesses, according to Debbie Bobin, manager of T W Scott Enterprises.
The business is one of three affected by the gravel-filled sinkhole. Other neighboring businesses along Route 51 northbound are rental company Farnham and Pfile and a BFS/Sunoco station.
“This is costing us money,” Bobin said. “It’s putting us out of business on days that we don’t have the access to get our trucks in and out because of the flooding.”
Although the sinkhole problem began more than eight years ago, Bobin said it has worsened in recemtmonths, causing T W Scott Enterprises to close its business for nearly five days in less than two weeks’ time.
