Two people were injured in back-to-back crashes on Interstate 70 over the weekend in Fallowfield Township.
Fallowfield Fire Company said numerous calls “poured” into the Washington County 911 center around 10:22 p.m. Friday about a crash involving a tractor-trailer that was blocking all lanes of traffic after crossing the center barrier and striking at least one vehicle.
First responders found all the victims were able to get out of the cars on their own. The Washington County Hazardous Materials Team responded to a leak following the crash.
Firefighters were split into fluid control and EMS assist teams, in addition to help from the Charleroi Volunteer Fire Department, state police and Mon Valley EMS.
