The streak is over for Campy’s Pizza.
Tri-County Realty’s Easton McDaniel hit a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining to give his team a 74-73 win over the defending two-time champions, putting a sudden halt to their 25-game winning streak.
“Not who I expected to take the shot, but Easton stepped up like an upperclassman should,” Tri-County coach Aaron Balla said. “That ball kind of rolled around in there for a second, I said to myself, ‘That better be a good all-around shot for him to take it there’ and it was.”
It was the second straight big shot for the Beth-Center product, who hit the game-tying 3-pointer with 40 seconds to go.
McDaniel led his team with 14 points.
