Allegheny County Parks are encouraging Mon Valley residents to take advantage of several new summer programs that are taking place at Round Hill and White Oak parks.
The activities range from learning about stars and meteor showers to swimming with dogs or learning about the ecology of area streams.
On Wednesday, young nature enthusiasts will join park rangers at White Oak Park for “Kids Stream Study with a Park Ranger.”
Participants ages 5 to 12 and their parents will learn about the aquatic life in the 810-acre park, located at 3 Muse Lane.
