Much of the Mon Valley was under flash-flood warnings Sunday night and emergency services were kept busy.
Crews began getting called out as a strong thunderstorm swept through the area near sundown.
The issues caused by the storm included:
• Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department announced that an active landslide near the sewage treatment facility in Allenport had closed Route 88 around 10:20 p.m.
• Monessen emergency responders were called to the intersection of Parente and Grand boulevards around 10 p.m. for a vehicle stuck in flood waters with entrapment.
