White Oak police are asking for assistance from borough residents in trying to nab a group of people who are suspected of breaking into parked cars.
The department has released no names, but said in a prepared statement that several people were observed breaking into cars on State Street early Friday morning. Several cars have been broken into in multiple parts of the borough over the last few weeks.
In a Facebook post, the department revealed that items like keys and change are being stolen, but added that the alleged thieves aren’t stopping there.
“The White Oak Police Department would like to again remind everyone to lock their vehicle doors,” the Facebook post states. “Remove anything of value that’s inside them. This includes keys, firearms, cash, jewelry, wallets, credit cards and anything else you may consider to be valuable.
