Port Vue’s Romine Park resounded with laughter on Sunday as the borough celebrated its 25th Fun to Be a Kid Day.
The park was filled with a variety of amusements for children of all ages, and the fact that all the activities were free for Port Vue’s children put smiles on their parents’ faces.
Surrounding the field were tents offering games like ring toss, beanbag tossing and a “fish pond” for the youngest kids. Children could craft bead necklaces or have their faces painted.
They could jump to their hearts’ content in a bouncy house, navigate an inflatable obstacle course or speed down a giant slide. For a bigger challenge, they could test their agility on the climbing wall.
