For the third time this summer, AMD Industries handled its business against Belle Vernon Dairy Queen, securing a berth in Wednesday night’s championship game with a 32-17 triumph Monday night at the Mechanic Street Playground in California.
AMD head coach Bria Rathway was pleased but not content with her team’s performance.
“If we play like that Wednesday, we will get beat and we will get beat bad and I told them that,” said Rathway. “We were slow to balls and 50-50 stuff. I know that the team we play Wednesday is gonna hustle to everything and we just came out sluggish and slow.”
The AMD offense sputtered early on as Charleroi’s Bella Skobel was able to propel AMD to a 7-4 advantage.
