For the first time in more than 20 years, the Tri State Antique Fire Engine Association fire truck muster is headed back to the Mon Valley shores of the Monongahela River.
Monongahela Fire Department will sponsor the Mon Valley Muster at the Noble J. Dick Aquatorium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
A muster, or “fire muster,” is an event pertaining to fire/rescue services. It is held in a central area such as a park and has many activities and competitions for fire department members and community members, according to organizer Tom Fronzaglio of Donora.
Fronzaglio worked with Galliatin-Sunnyside fire Chief John Hess and firefighter Ryan Hess of Monessen to plan the event and said it will be fun for all who attend.
