McHolme wins third straight Youghiogheny CC title

Elizabeth Forward graduate Angus McHolme claimed his third consecutive Youghiogheny Country Club Men’s Championship this past weekend.

Competing in match play with seven other competitors, McHolme won his matches 4 & 3, 3 & 2 and 8 & 6. He went in to the championship division as the No. 8 seed as he could not play in the qualifier due to preparations for the PA Amateur.

McHolme defeated his former EF teammate Joe Klingensmith in the final on Sunday. The final consisted of 36 holes.

“It was really cool to win and complete the 3-peat,” said McHolme, a Methodist University recruit. “I just enjoyed being out at my home club for a change with some great people.”
