The Valley isn’t lacking in community and river festivals as every summer is filled to the brim with celebrations, complete with food, vendors, entertainment and activities for kids.
The North Belle Vernon Recreation Commission’s annual Community Fest, slated for 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sept.14, may be one of the last festivals of the summer.
Co-coordinator Cody Ambrose said two things set NBV’s Community Fest apart from other Valley festivities — all the proceeds directly affect the community by funding a park and this event, as well as the park itself, is extremely handicap friendly.
“We are so proud that we have so many things that are handicap accessible throughout the park,” he said.
