A McKeesport man has been charged after allegedly pouring gasoline around the inside of his Grover Street residence and throwing a match at the fuel while his wife, daughter and his daughter’s boyfriend were inside.
McKeesport police were dispatched to the home of 43-year-old Michael Lamont Belcher on the 2700 block of Grover Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday after family members called Allegheny County 911.
When officers arrived, they were greeted by Belcher and “an overwhelming odor of gasoline emanating from inside of the residence,” the affidavit of probable cause states.
Belcher allegedly told the officers that he was angry with his family, so, “in an attempt to annoy them poured the gasoline throughout the house,” the affidavit states.
