The Charleroi Area Middle School auditorium was bursting with color Friday afternoon during a kick-off event for the second annual Color Run.
Charleroi Area Middle School Principal Adam Brewer, dressed in colorful socks, sunglasses, a rainbow Mohawk and tutu, gave students a sneak peak of what to expect during the event as he was doused by a student with color dust on the auditorium stage.
The Color Run, which is open only to middle school students, is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 4.
Last year, more than 150 people participated in the color run and were able to raise enough money to send students on an end-of-the-year trip to Kennywood at no cost.
