BVA earns donuts by dunking Ambridge, 57-0

A single Friday night donut leads to dozens on Sunday morning.
That’s what happens when Belle Vernon Area’s defense keeps the opponent off the board like it did against Ambridge, holding the Bridgers to 35 total yards in a 57-0 rout at Moe Rubenstein Stadium.
Leopards head coach Matt Humbert will happily hand out Sunday morning snacks for a team whose defense ate up the competition.
“You have to have a strong defense if you want to compete at a high level,” Humbert said “They were stout. The nice thing is that it was a cohesive effort. You saw good line play from the D-line but you also saw a numerous amount of blitzes, guys making plays and tackles for losses.”
