William Patrick DiMichele – Danville, Calif., formerly of Monessen

Bill DiMichele, 67, of Danville, Calif., formerly of Monessen, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at San Leandro Kaiser-Permanente hospital. Born June 3, 1952, in Monongahela, he was the son of Jean Glasgow DiMichele and the late Eugene DiMichele of Monessen. A 1970 graduate of Monessen High School and 1974 graduate of West Virginia University, Bill retired as an art teacher from the San Ramon Valley Christian Academy, in Danville, in 2015. Previously he also worked at Graphic Reproduction in San Francisco and as a Special Ed teacher in Monessen. Bill was an exceptional and creative artist, painter, musician, lyricist, poet and writer, and continued his artwork up to the end. He has been published in many fine arts, visual poetry and poetry magazines and publications. Bill has exhibited his paintings in many galleries and venues. He was coeditor of SCORE and editor of Tip of the Knife visual poetry magazines. Bill was also the founding member of the bands, Batang Frisco and Billy Dim. Surviving are his wife, Julie Daniele DiMichele; his son, Will DiMichele; his mother, Jean Glasgow DiMichele; his brother, Robert DiMichele and wife Darlene Miller DiMichele and their sons, Thomas and Joshua; his sister, Marilu Dunn and husband Kerry Dunn and their sons, Kris and Kyle; and his brother James’ children, Stephen, Rachel, Gabrielle and Angela. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene DiMichele; and his brother James DiMichele. He is also survived by Julie’s family, her sisters, Angela Daniele and Lia Petaccia; her son, Anthony, his sons Anthony Austin and Evan; her daughter, Danielle Stecko and husband Eric Stecko and their sons, Hunter and Ty.
