Cooperation pledged on landslides

Different sides of the “same team” — and dozens of North Charleroi and Fallowfield Township residents — packed the township municipal building Tuesday night during a joint special meeting regarding a landslide that has been creating a headache for both communities since September.
All three township supervisors, a majority of North Charleroi borough council, engineers and legal counsel from both communities were present.
While the meeting did not produce specific solutions, productive conversation among officials from both municipalities made headway on the issue.
For months, officials in the two communities have been bombarded with questions regarding a landslide on Woodward Avenue, which falls in Fallowfield, and Locust Lane, which is in North Charleroi.
