There wasn’t much Charleroi didn’t do well Friday night.
A week after a tough loss to Washington, the Cougars forced four turnovers, ran for 303 yards and collected 393 yards of total offense in a 56-0 nonconference victory over Riverview at Myron Pottios Stadium.
“I think we played 11 as one,” Charleroi head coach Lance Getsy said. “That’s going to be key for us this year, us sticking together and fighting together. I think they did that tonight. They worked really hard and I think we had great practices this week. That showed on the field.”
While he has a quiet demeanor on and off the field, the play of Ethan Codeluppi spoke for itself as he was all over the field, both on offense and defense, for the Cougars (1-1).
