McKeesport council hears from River Materials CEO

In May, Pittsburgh-based River Materials Inc. announced that it would be expanding its operations on nearly 20 acres of land in the RIDC Riverplace Industrial Center of McKeesport.
The company’s CEO addressed council Wednesday on the plans the company has for its McKeesport site.
River Materials provides intermodal services for power plants, recycling centers, cement plants and other industrial facilities throughout Southwestern and Central Pennsylvania via rail and barge transportation.
In May, the company announced that a rail car and barge remediation facility were in a design phase for the McKeesport facility and that a new crane would be installed on their property.
