Empty mall awaits demolition

Once a majestic, bustling shopping destination that brought thousands of people to the South Hills and West Mifflin, Century III Mall now resembles a ghost town.
Wooden boards cover glass doors, and potholes have replaced parking spaces.
And if its owners get their way, the mall will soon come crumbling down with hopes that the location will be revitalized into a shopping, dining, office, residential and entertainment hub.
In June, the mall’s owners, Las Vegas-based Moonbeam Capital Investments LLC, and its partner Mc-Knight Realty, announced in a U.S. District Bankruptcy Court filing their plans to demolish the mall.
