Therapy dog makes reading less ‘ruff’

If your child struggled to read out loud, would you consider having them practice reading to a close friend or family member?
What if you could guarantee that friend would be non-judgmental, patient and furry? What about asking them to read to a dog?
For six nights in September and October at Rostraver Public Library, children can do just that.
By signing up for a five-minute time slot, kids who struggle with reading out loud can pay a visit to Ciel, a 10-year-old golden retriever and Labrador mix.
