The Belle Vernon Area School District has hired a new business manager with a five-year contract that takes effect in November.
The board unanimously named Crystal Clark as the successor for former business manager James R. Dzurica during Tuesday night’s voting agenda meeting. At last month’s work session, the board unanimously voted to accept Dzurica’s resignation, effective Oct. 1.
Clark will begin at a starting salary of $97,000, with a $2,000 raise per year.
Clark said she is “looking forward” to her new role, and Superintendent Dr. Michele Dowell said the board is highly anticipating Clark’s entrance into the district. She jokingly told Clark to “eat her Cheerios” in preparation.
