White Oak may reopen road closed since 2013

Residents of White Oak Farms could soon see a road open that has been closed for nearly six years.
Residents and managers of the apartment complex have been dealing with Center Street Extension being closed at its two intersections with Riverview Drive since July 2013, following a series of landslides spawned by heavy rainstorms that summer.
The borough paid for core drilling to be done at the time, and the results predicted that the road would again slide.
Council briefly talked about having new core sample tests done on the hill below Center Street Extension during its October 2018 meeting, but made no official decision as to whether action should be taken.
Since then, there hasn’t been much discussion about the subject.
