McKeesport honors community volunteers

Four city residents were honored by Mayor Michael Cherepko’s McKeesport Message Committee this week for “making strides each and every day to make our city a warmer, better place to live.”

Four times per year, the committee doles out the Respect, Dignity, Hope and Love awards to community members “who exemplify those words,” Cherepko said.

“To us, those words are more than a motto,” he added. “They are a way of life and these people are living the message.”
