As businesses in the Mon Valley continue to grow and expand, many are facing the problem of attracting and retaining employees.
Dozens of employees, business owners and organizations shared their strategies Tuesday at the second annual Mon Valley Workforce Forum.
Monongahela Valley Hospital hosted the forum, which focused on how to keep skilled employees in the region, what employees look for when job searching and what makes them stay in their positions long term.
The program began with a presentation from Patty Van Leer Silbert, president of Newton Talent, which solves talent acquisition challenges.
Silbert spoke about the importance of understanding employer value propositions, which focuses on how the company would like to be perceived by employees and job candidates.
