Nothing quite like a double hat trick to get you closer to 100 career goals and help your team end a six-game losing streak.
That was the case for Monessen senior Cam Frolo as he scored six goals to lead the Greyhounds to an 8-4 victory over California in Section 4-A play Thursday afternoon.
The performance gave Frolo 33 goals on the season and put him at 95 goals in his illustrious career at Monessen (3-13, 2-10). He is 16 goals away from tying the program record of 111.
“I know he wants to go after the record, so with McKeesport and Jeannette coming up, it’s possible,” Monessen head coach Donnie Caterino said. “We’re going to try and get it for him. Hopefully he can get it.”
