TJ turns it on for sweep of EF

Elizabeth Forward gave Thomas Jefferson all it had in the third set.
The Warriors got off to a 6-4 start, fell behind, and then fought back later, cutting Thomas Jefferson’s lead to 20-19. The Jaguars called a timeout and proceeded to rail off five straight points to win the set and win the match with a 3-0 sweep Thursday night.
The set was telling of what kind of team the Jaguars have.
They had some unforced errors, and might have not played their best, but it didn’t matter much. When it counted, the Jaguars turned it on and went nuclear, subsequently upping their record to 13-0, guaranteeing them a perfect section record.
“It was good. We played good. We had some sporadic moments,” said Thomas Jefferson coach Ron Kelly.
“We had a couple of bad hits and our passing wasn’t A1, but when they had to, they pulled it together.”
