Belle Vernon Area Education Association members showed up in red once again to protest stalled contract negotiations at Monday’s school board meeting.
BVAEA members passed out fliers wrapped in rubber wristbands to those entering the meeting.
The flier detailed the results of a survey involving 117 BVAEA professional staff members within the district. Survey results stated, “Nearly 40% of BVAEA professional staff have worked in the BVA school district for 10 or more years. Parents/guardians can find comfort in the quality and stability of the staff.”
Thirteen survey results were posted on the flier and included subjects such as how many staff members have children in the school district, how many are taxpayers in the BVA school district and how many hold master’s degrees or higher.
